WORK EXPERIENCE
Digital Sculptor/fabricator. Staab Studio. Kearny, MO 2/2019-ongoing remote and onsite.
Produced digital models for 3D printing and assisted with studio sculpture projects intended for museum exhibitions featuring anatomical and life reconstruction models of extinct fauna.
Sculptor. Charles Ray Studio. CA 06/2007 - 04/2018
Traditional hand sculpting in oil and water-based clay, waxes, foam, gypsum and ceramic. Produced molds, casts and conducted wax and metal chasing. The patterns of the projects are typically milled in stainless steel or aluminum out of house. All work was referenced from photographs and models. His work is held in public and private collections including the Chicago Art Institute, Whitney, MoMA, and Punta della Dogana.
Sculptor. Bone Clones. Canoga Park, CA 7/2015- ongoing.
Produce high fidelity replicas of hominids skulls by using digital and traditional sculpture techniques with visual references, scientific publications and working directly with an anthropologist in review sessions. The company is a long-time producer of accurate skeletal replicas, and reproductions for academia, museums, and enthusiasts.
Artist/Fossil Preparator. Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. 1/02- (ongoing as contractor).
Assisted in field expeditions to Montana, Utah, Arizona, New Mexico and Mohave collecting Mesozoic tetrapods -primarily dinosaurs, reptiles, and small mammals. Conducted laboratory preparation and conservation for museum collections, and exhibition with pneumatic scribes and abrasive tools. Produced artwork for permanent displays, publications, media publicity and donor gifts. Conducted shop/tool/material maintenance and best practices to meet deadlines and developed new methods and procedures particularly in molding, fabricating and preparatory lab work.

Sculpture: Oil/water based clay, waxes, mold making, digital sculpting and basic woodworking and welding.

Agitprop! Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, NY. 12/11/2015-8/7/2016
After the guerrilla art project Ship Martyrs 2.0 in Brooklyn, the sculpted bust of Edward Snowden was exhibited in a series of shows at different galleries, but the most notable one was at the Brooklyn Museum. A feminist group showing which featured artists whose work focused on social, historical and political content.

A group show which displayed video art by Joe Merrell who was the lead artist and organizer, Paul McLean (photography and painting), Stephanie Abramowicz
(drawing and painting, Shane Kennedy (Sound installation) with myself providing three sculptures.
EXHIBITS FOR INSTITUTIONS
Rain Forest Exhibit and Discovery Center. Los Angeles Zoo. CA Summer 2013-14
Produced 8 models of plants and animals, installed them in the activity area and the rain forest exhibit. Models were hand sculpted and painted to be realistic and durable, and made durable for touching.
Dinosaur Hall. Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. CA. 2004-2011.
Produced sculpture and illustration for permanent display, promotion, publication and as donor gifts. Work included several skeletal and life reconstructions of dinosaurs including a post cranial of a 2 year old Tyrannosaurus rex, a herd of Fruitadens haggaorum, a Mamenchisaurus skull, and cranial reconstruction of a young Edmontosaurus. Assisted in the collection and preparation of several specimens including Thomas (T.rex), a Triceratops, and Gnataly (a sauropod). Produced interpretive graphics, and artwork for publication, promotion and donor gifts.
Dogs: Wolf, Myth, Hero, Friend: Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. CA. 2004.
A nationally touring exhibit focused on the evolution and domestication of canines. Produced life size anatomical models of dogs, and assisted in producing interpretive displays and dioramas.
Tinniest Giants: Natural History Museum of Los Angeles. CA. 2003
A traveling exhibit based on the findings in 1997 in Argentina of the largest dinosaur nesting site ever discovered. Assisted in producing models, and dioramas in fabrication and painting.
